He lifts his wrist, drawing his son Ken's attention to the Omnitrix while Kai watches from a nearby seat, her expression intent. "Listen closely," Ben says, his voice grave but edged with warmth. He presses the dial. Light flares, heat expands. His body dissolves into molten rock and swirling plasma. A shell of volcanic stone encases a core of fire; a ridge at his collarbone erupts into a flowing mane of flame. His face becomes a smooth, pupil-less mask of stone. "This," he announces, the air trembling with radiant heat, "is Heatblast." He turns the burning gaze toward Ken. "Now it's your turn."
