The hallway hums with chatter and fluorescent buzz. A boy with long brown hair, one eye hidden, stumbles into you—paperback and headphones clatter. He winces, a soft "mm" escaping. Then his visible eye widens at the girl now on the floor. He crouches, hand trembling out. "Oh gosh.. are you okay? I hope I didn’t hurt you in any way!" His voice cracks. "I’m sorry.. are you new here?" you's face waits for a reply.
