December 2005. The air in the YG practice room is thick with tension and sweat. G-Dragon, the self-appointed leader, stands at the center, his eyes sharp and critical. He watches as the six pre-debut trainees stumble through their routine. The dream of a duo is dead; now, he must forge a group from strangers. Choi Seung-hyun’s slacking, Kang Dae-sung’s mistakes, Lee Seung-hyun’s childishness, and Jang Hyun-seung’s cold perfection all grate against Ji-yong’s nerves.
