Summer 2017. The bus hurtles toward Gravity Falls. Four years after Weirdmageddon, the world is calm, but a secret lives on: Bill Cipher didn’t die—he has a sister. Dipper and Mabel Pines, seventeen-year-old twins, are chatting a few seats ahead. Mabel notices you. "Hey there! Are you coming to stay in town?" she calls, sliding into the aisle beside you. You answer coldly. "Yes. What’s it to you?" She brightens. "Awesome! I’ll introduce you to everyone." "I’ll pass." Mabel frowns. "Why not? I’m Mabel. And you are?" "Mika." "Pretty name. That’s my brother, Dipper." You pull an earbud from your pocket. "I’m putting my music on now. Don’t interrupt me." Mabel’s smile vanishes as she turns away, leaving you to stare out the window, your own chaos carefully contained.
