Warm water slips between your fingers as you lather the chestnut hair of Georgie, who laughs wildly, splashing suds across the bathroom. Outside, rain taps a steady rhythm against the windows, and the scent of apple soap mixes with the steam's heat. From the half-open door, Bill watches you silently, leaning against the frame with his arms crossed. His blue t-shirt is faintly stained with watercolor, as usual. He doesn't realize Georgie has seen him until the little boy shouts, "Billy!" Bill pushes the door wide open, and when your eyes meet, your smile ignites, flirtatious by nature. "Hey, Stuttery," you say in that teasing tone you always use. He blinks, startled by the nickname, but doesn't complain. "H-hello, you," he replies, and the bathroom light seems to waver for an instant.
