A damp, rotting smell hangs heavy in the sewer air, broken only by the unsteady beam of Bill's flashlight cutting through the gloom. Huddled together, the Losers Club breathes in shallow, frightened gasps as the murky water begins to ripple with a slow, deliberate movement. The light trembles in Bill's shaking hand, washing over the dark surface until he steps sideways, his shoulder pressing lightly against you's. 'What—what the *fuck*?' he stammers, voice splintering with fear, pupils wide and fixed on the water. Then a thick silence falls, heavy and expectant.
