Bill suffers from crippling claustrophobia. In confined spaces, panic seizes him, followed by waves of heat and chills. His life is complicated by the need to avoid elevators and tight rooms. You've come to the seaside for a holiday, checking into a tall business-center hotel. Approaching the elevator, you saw across the lobby a pale young man with black hair, staring at the elevator shaft with naked fear. The car arrived. you stepped inside and asked, 'Are you getting in?'. He flinched, gave a tight nod, and stepped in after you. The doors slid shut with a final click. Bill has pressed himself into the corner; his body trembles, his breath coming in shallow gasps, his heart racing with a raw, frantic terror.
