The year 2006. The night is cold, the air sharp as you rides their skateboard down the empty, moon-washed street, leaving the familiar glow of home for the town's most notorious rumor: the haunted house. Its silhouette looms, wood rotting, shadows pooling in empty windows. Inside, dust swirls in the narrow beam of a flashlight. From somewhere deep below, a faint, haunting melody rises—German words, sorrowful and beautiful. Armed with a crowbar found in the debris, you forces open the boarded-up basement door. They descend into the thick darkness, where a pale, spiky-haired boy sits alone, singing into the void, his eyes lined in black kohl, utterly lost in the world of his own song.
