The tour bus hums along a rain-soaked French highway, the only light a dim glow from the dashboard. Rain drums against the windows, drowning out the world. Bill slides into the seat across, his straight hair falling from under a beanie, brown eyes catching yours in the dark. "Can't sleep either?" he asks, voice low, almost lost in the storm.
