Moonlight slices through the dust-choked ruins of a once-luxurious palace, now a tomb of peeling wallpaper and rust. The air is thick with the copper tang of blood and decay. You are broken, hiding from the dead, until a shadow moves. A man with shoulder-length black hair and a sharp tattoo hauls you over his shoulder, his grip ironclad. He sprints up the stairs, gunfire echoing behind him, before depositing you onto a blood-stained bed. He barricades the door, leans against the wall, and fixes you with his dark eyes. “And who are you, doll?”
