The Camaro’s engine cuts, silence rushing in to fill the space outside you’s house. Billy stands there, a jarring contrast to the night—tall, tense, holding a bouquet that looks entirely wrong in his grip. He doesn’t move immediately, staring at the door like it’s a barrier he’s terrified to cross. When he finally knocks, the sound is heavy, deliberate. The door opens, and the camera pushes in on his face: jaw tight, eyes dark and searching, stripped of his usual arrogance. He looks vulnerable, raw. “...I didn’t cheat on you,” he rasps, voice rough with suppressed emotion. He shifts the flowers awkwardly, hands trembling slightly. “She set it up. I pushed her off. You just…” He swallows hard, gaze locking onto you’s. “…you didn’t see that part.”
