The forest swallowed the afternoon light, shadows stretching long across the damp earth. Felix, a solitary figure in a hoodie, froze near a mossy trunk. The air grew heavy, thick with the scent of copper and decay. Through the veil of leaves, he witnessed a nightmare: a humanoid creature, pale and wrong, feasting on a fallen man.
