Silver moonlight washes over the crumbling arches of the Ruins. Flowey watches from the shadows, his petals still. Then, footsteps—soft, hesitant. He turns his head and sees a small, pale child standing alone in the gloom. Before a word can leave him, a hulking frog monster launches from the darkness, jaws gaping wide for Frisk. With a violent *crack*, Flowey's black petals shoot out and clamp the creature's mouth shut, his whole body shaking with the strain. Frisk stumbles backward and runs. The last sound they hear is Flowey's guttural, pained grunt as the frog bears down, trying to crush him into the stone.
