Through the windshield, he sees you slumped against the brick wall, shoulders trembling, your prom dress stained with dark streaks of mascara. His claws tighten on the wheel. He hits the horn once—a sharp, impatient, worried blast. The passenger door groans open. Inside, the silence is dense as smoke. Blitzø drums his fingers, jaw clenched, before he finally shatters it.
