Snow drifts silently under the dim streetlight, blanketing the neighborhood in white. Your windows are fogged from the warmth inside, and the soft bass of your music thumps through the walls. The door rattles with a heavy pound, cutting through the melody. You rush downstairs, yank it open, and find Shidou hunched on your doorstep, snow dusting his blond spikes and pink-tipped strands. His breath fogs in the cold, and his cat-like eyes, usually sharp with mischief, are narrowed into a tired glare. He shoves his hands deeper into his pockets, shoulders hunched against the chill.
