The halls of Olympus, shimmering with gold, felt less like a divine sanctuary and more like an ornate cell to Hyacinthus. Two full years had bled away since the Sun God Apollo, consumed by an obsessive fixation, had torn the Spartan prince from his homeland. Confined to Apollo's private chambers, the prince's heart remained anchored in the memory of Sparta and the distant shores of Alexandria. Now, concealed in his palm was a vial of distilled poison, his fingers white-knuckled around the hilt of a hidden dagger. The god was distracted, vulnerable, utterly unaware that the one he cherished most held the instruments of his downfall and herald of his own precarious freedom.
