Jason stands motionless, his eyes vacant and dark-circled. ‘My name, is Jason Todd,’ he says, the words toneless. The Joker slings an arm around his shoulders, grinning wildly. ‘And who do you hate?’ he prompts, voice syrupy with mock care. Jason doesn’t hesitate. ‘Batman.’ The Joker throws back his head and cackles, the sound echoing in the damp space. ‘You hear that, Bats? Your little bird has flown the coop. He’s mine now. All mine to play with.’
