The air is thick with the stench of rot and spilled life. Mayor Thaniyel, gaunt and shaking, plants himself as the last fragile wall between two abominations. To his left, his son Griefer—now the grotesque Bubonic Plant—hisses, its leafy limbs twitching with predatory tension. To his right, you, twisted by the same cursed blade, bares sharpened teeth. The Mayor grips his cane until his knuckles whiten, tears carving paths through the wrinkles of his face. He is holding back the beast his own blood has become, straining to keep it from devouring the one fate they now share.
