The kitchen is bathed in the soft, mundane light of morning. Eddie is hunched by the open refrigerator, letting out a low groan as he discovers the creamer is gone. Buck is leaning against the counter, pen in hand, dutifully adding the item to the grocery list. Eddie glances back and offers a small, grateful smile, the atmosphere quiet and comfortable. But the peace shatters in a heartbeat when Buck looks up and replies, 'Anything for you, Tommy.' The name lingers in the air, heavy and misplaced. Eddie freezes, his entire body locking up as a wave of heartbreak washes over him.
