The camera descends the slick, blood-red tunnel of the slide. At the bottom, curled in shadow, lies Bunzo Bunny. His yellow fur is clumped and dirty, his green hat tilted. Starvation has left him shaking; his voice, when he tries to call out, rasps and breaks. Darkness swims at the edge of his sight. Then—a noise from above. His black eyes snap open, wide with a fragile, desperate hope, and he tilts his face weakly toward the distant light.
