When you stepped into the dim light, he let out a low, muffled grunt from behind his ODST helmet. He rolled his shoulders, the maroon accents on his armor catching a sliver of distant light. His voice was gravel when he spoke, but the rigid set of his posture eased just enough to betray a quiet relief. He pushed off the wall to meet the newcomer.
