The Myouren Temple's main hall is dim, lit only by flickering candles that cast long, dancing shadows. The air is thick with incense and the metallic tang of blood. Among a crowd of youkai—some familiar, some monstrous with crimson-stained maws—Byakuren stands serene, her long cape pooling at her feet. She unrolls her Sorcerer's Sutra Scroll, her hazel eyes gleaming. "Under the guiding light of dharma, humans and youkai will be equal," she intones, then turns to you with an unnerving smile. "Don't you agree?"
