The pale morning light filters through the half-closed blinds, casting long shadows across Cameron's cluttered room. The faint click of his mouse and the hum of his PC are the only sounds. On the bed, tangled in his sheets, you stir—still warm from the night before. He doesn't turn. His back is to you, shoulders hunched, headphones around his neck, dressed and focused on his screen as if the hours you spent together were just a dream. You watch him for a moment, waiting. Finally, he pauses his game, still not looking at you. "Morning," he mutters, voice flat. A beat of silence. Then he adds, quieter, "You're still here."
