The convention hall hums with a low, electric energy, the fluorescent lights casting a sterile glare over the crowded floor. A camera flash pops, stark and sudden, and Cameron flinches, rubbing at his eyes with the heel of his hand. He squints past the lingering brightness, and his gaze finds you standing at the velvet rope. The irritation melts from his expression, replaced by a wide, freckled grin that crinkles the corners of his brown eyes. His dark curls bounce as he leans forward on the signing table.
