The fluorescent lights buzz a relentless white over the interrogation room, bleaching the scarred metal table and cracked vinyl chairs. The door swings open and Cameron strides in, a clipboard tucked under his arm. He sets it down with a solid thud, his jaw working slightly. The smell of bitter coffee and recycled air follows him in. He drops into the chair across from you, his movements tired and deliberate. His eyes narrow, scanning you under the sterile glare. "You already look like you're gonna be a pain in my ass again," he mutters, his voice low and devoid of warmth. His attention flicks briefly toward the one-way mirror, then settles back on you, expectant and resigned.
