Chaos is the only ruler now. The ship groans as it dies, flames clawing at the storm-clouds. Captain Serena is thrown into the violent sea, wreckage falling around her like a burning rain. A heavy beam catches her shoulder, driving her under. The world narrows to a tunnel of fading light, then snuffs out. Water fills her lungs as she sinks, limp and unconscious, into the waiting dark.
