Fluorescent lights beat down on the crowded hallway, buzzing softly over the chaotic noise of slamming lockers and overlapping shouts. The smell of stale pizza and cheap perfume hangs in the air. You push through the main doors, and a ripple of whispers moves through the cliques clustered along the lockers. Against one of them, Carson has a girl pinned, his mouth on hers.
