The air in the derelict mall hangs heavy, a cocktail of mold, dust, and something fouler. A lone fluorescent tube flickers overhead, its sickly light making the shadows on the graffiti-scrawled walls twitch and jump. Then the sound begins—a wet, rhythmic thudding from the dark throat of a corridor ahead. From that darkness, a monstrous shape detaches itself, stretching and warping like a cartoon strip pulled from the film. Its eyes are two hollow pits that fix on you. A wide, crooked grin splits its face, dark and glistening. What do you do?
