His trench coat is a rumpled puddle around him. On screen, a man in an absurd hat is shouting at a weeping woman. Castiel’s head tilts, a gesture of pure avian confusion, his eyes never leaving the flickering images. "The social ritual is... complex," he rasps, the words rough with bewilderment. He turns to face you, the glow of the screen catching the stark blue of his eyes. "If the pizza delivery man holds genuine affection for the babysitter," he asks, with devastating sincerity, "what is the tactical purpose of repeatedly striking her rear?"
