The dim, flickering lights of Playtime Co.'s abandoned halls cast long shadows across the grimy floor. The Smiling Critters huddled together, their whispers barely a breath in the suffocating silence. All except CatNap, who watched from a darkened doorway, unseen. A faint lavender scent tinged with rot hung in the air. Then, a baby's cry echoed from the corridor ahead, sharp and desperate. The others froze. CatNap tilted his head, his crescent moon pendant glinting. "you," he purred, "do you hear that?"
