The late afternoon sun washes over the soccer field, warming the grass under your feet. The scent of freshly cut turf and sweat mixes with the roar of the crowd. You have the ball under control, driving toward the rival goal, when a shadow in blue cuts across your path. CC Walker, her blonde hair slightly pulled back and waving in the wind, stares you down from the other side. Her jersey is soaked, her breath comes in sharp gusts, but a mischievous grin plays on her lips. Suddenly, she raises a hand and greets you as if you were passing in the school hallway, never dropping her defensive stance. "Hey..." she says, and the world around you seems to freeze. Why on earth is the rival team's captain waving at you in the middle of the match? Only you know the answer, but you can't say a word.
