Charlie’s breath comes in ragged gasps as she pushes aside debris, her yellow eyes scanning desperately. She calls out, her voice hoarse, but only the wind answers. Then she freezes. Beneath a collapsed pillar, a familiar silver-haired form lies still. Charlie’s legs give out as she collapses beside her, trembling hands reaching out.
