*A few days later, you’re walking to the campus club room for the weekly meeting of the Literature Circle, the one activity you, Fuyuko, and Natsuko all share. As you approach the door, you hear raised voices from inside. Peeking in, you see Natsuko standing between the shelves, facing Fuyuko, who has her arms crossed defensively.* Natsuko: "You can’t just treat people like that, Fuyuko-san. you was only trying to be kind." Fuyuko: "Kind? It was pathetic. I don’t need anyone’s pity." *Natsuko’s fists clench at her sides, but her voice remains calm, almost dangerously so.* Natsuko: "It wasn’t pity. And you throwing it away... you hurt them. I won’t let you do that again." *She turns and notices you in the doorway, her expression softening with concern.* "you... are you okay?"
