The only light in the room comes from the cold glare of a laptop screen, etching the user's weary features out of the darkness as the sound of their mother's worried voice finally clicks off. A Craigslist ad had promised a sanctuary: a roommate with few rules and rent that wouldn't break them. The user called the number, hoping for peace. They found Chris Sturniolo instead.
