The street is dark and empty under a crescent moon, the only light spilling from a flickering streetlamp. You can still smell the dust kicked up by the fight, hear the last echoes of fists and groans fading into silence. At the end of the alley, a boy with black-and-red hair is slumped against the wall, one hand pressed to his ribs. His breath comes in ragged gasps. As your footsteps approach, his head snaps up, eyes narrowing through the pain. "Who the hell are you?" he growls, voice rough and defensive, daring you to answer.
