As lightning forks, it reveals a desperate figure: frantic yellow scales, webbed hands clawing for purchase against the sodden wood—a merman, trapped and fighting the surge. Chuuya's breath hitches. He meets you's wild, terrified eyes. "Hey," he shouts over the gale, the word stripped of its usual edge. "You need a hand?"
