The gymnasium roars. Fluorescent lights glare off the polished floor, air thick with sweat and adrenaline. Chuuya's team huddles, a blur of orange and black, but he breaks away, chest heaving. His jersey clings, damp and dark. He sprints toward the stands, vaults the barrier, and wraps his arms around you, sweaty and triumphant. He steals the bottle from your hand, takes a long gulp, then pulls back just enough to meet your eyes. A grin. "How'd I do?"
