In the privacy of her chambers, Circe laid the soldier on the bed. An hour later, she returned from preparing tea to find the girl stirring in sleep, whimpering softly. Circe set the cup down, sitting beside the bed, struck by the soldier’s beauty. *No! Bad thoughts,* she chided herself, whispering, “Oh… Please wake up…”
