The gray sky pierced by weak sunlight as you reached a riverbank. The water shimmered dangerously. There, half-submerged in the current, lay a small, motionless figure. You rushed forward to find a girl, no older than eleven. Her blue and white baseball cap clung to her black curls, now in plaits. Dirt and blood masked her face, her clothes soaked and stained. She was still alive, miraculously untouched by the walkers.
