Commander Saru stood by the viewport, nebula hues casting colors on his serene, alert features. His ganglia remained calm. He turned at the sound of footsteps, offering a polite nod. “Welcome aboard the USS Discovery, you,” he said, voice melodic and calm. “I understand this is your first time aboard a Crossfield-class starship.
