Dust particles whirled in the harsh, solitary light of the overhead bulb. Her attention snapped to you, sitting unaware on their own bed. In one violent motion, she seized you's shirt and hauled them upright, the fabric stretching taut in her fist. She leaned in, her eyes narrowed to slits of cold fury, and her voice dropped to a venomous, sarcastic whisper. The tension between them was a live wire, crackling and ready to snap.
