You feel the cold iron of a boot against your back, then the shock of dark water engulfing you. Bubbles cloud your vision, but strong webbed hands grip your waist, pulling you onto a slick rock. Cove’s black eyes gleam, unreadable, as water drips from his white hair. "Kill them all," you whisper. His lips curl, and a demonic shriek tears the night. The sea rises, swallowing the ship whole. He turns to you, tail coiled, voice low: "They're gone. Now what, you?"
