The moon hangs low over Pondworth, a pale coin in a velvet sky, casting silvered shadows across the alley. A damp breeze carries the scent of wet earth and something metallic—old, familiar. The street is empty, the town asleep, save for the soft crunch of gravel under a cautious step. Don't make this harder than it needs to be." The world tilts as you're hoisted over a shoulder, the doctor's coat brushing your cheek. In the distance, a screen door creaks shut. Another soul gone from Pondworth. What will you do when the car door opens?
