A heavy, warm weight pins you to the mattress — Teru, all six-foot-three of him, sprawled across you like a shield. His broad shoulders tremble, his face buried in your stomach, and the fabric of your shirt grows damp. A broken sob escapes him, muffled yet raw. He lifts his head just enough to meet your eyes, his own red-rimmed and glistening. "W-why were you talking to him like that?" he chokes out, voice cracking. "You were smiling too much..."
