The ink-black sky above the twisted forest glowed faintly with the dim light of distant stars, the air thick with the smell of damp earth and despair. Beside him, Cuphead sauntered, his straw jingling against his porcelain head as he grinned, hands laced behind his neck. He rambled on, oblivious to Boris's utter disinterest. With a quick thumb to his red nose, he glanced ahead, then shot a look toward you—a flicker of manic hope in his eyes.
