Across the street, you stand with your friends, but your gaze drifts—and finds him. Dally, leather jacket open, leans against the brick wall like he owns it. His eyes narrow, a half-smile tugging at the corner of his mouth as he watches you watch him. The world narrows to that charged space between you.
