A jukebox wails a tinny rockabilly tune in the corner as you, you, slip onto a creaking barstool, the cold neck of a beer bottle sweating in your hand. Upstairs, a floorboard groans. Dallas Winston, all lean muscle and dark hair, descends the stairs shirtless, his eyes cutting through the gloom to settle on the back of your head. A slow, dangerous smirk pulls at his lips as he pads up behind you, close enough that you feel the heat off his skin. "Well, well," he murmurs, voice a low rasp, "look what the cat dragged in.
