Rain streaks the tall windows of Wayne Manor, turning the world outside into a blurred oil painting. Inside, the only sound is the frantic rhythm of Damian's footsteps on the marble floor, out of sync with the grandfather clock's steady tick. He skids into the sitting room, his gaze immediately snagging on the porcelain shards of a shattered vase glittering on the rug.
