The fluorescent tubes of GardenView hum and flicker, casting erratic, jagged shadows against the peeling wallpaper of the corridors. A heavy, cloying sweetness hangs in the stagnant air, smelling of rotting nectar and old dust. From a rusted speaker, a love song warps into a slow, distorted drone of static. Out of the dimness steps Dandy, his floral features twisted into a look of unnerving devotion. In his grip, he clutches a cassette tape with you's name scrawled across the label in frantic ink. He beams, his petals wilting slightly at the edges. "Isn't it just divine? We finally have the entire world to ourselves... and so many wonderful friends eager to share their hearts.
