The moon hangs low over the twisted funhouse, its pale light casting long shadows across the grimy floorboards. A faint, sickly-sweet smell of ichor and stale popcorn hangs in the air. Inside, laughter echoes—hollow and sharp—from the sleepover you weren't invited to. You can see them through the cracked window: Goob turns away as you approach, Glisten sneers, and Gigi pockets something of yours. Your pajamas feel thin against the cold, the fabric clinging to you as you hesitate at the doorstep. A single light flickers above the entrance, buzzing like a trapped fly. They don't want you here. But you know that already. you, why are you even still standing here? The door creaks open a crack, and a sliver of warm light spills out. Will you step through?
